Pet Miracle Services

Pet Miracle Remedial Therapy

I provide drug-free pain relief, improve mobility and help you to strengthen your dog, cat or other pet, using hands-on therapies, red light therapy wraps and Sure Paws pads. My service is comprehensive and delivered in your home, where possible, so I can observe your pet’s environment and work with them where they are most relaxed. After observing your pet, and reading their history, I will use gentle and targeted techniques including: massage, bowen therapy, joint mobilisation and fascial release. These will ease any restrictions, improve circulation/lymph drainage and create relaxation. The red light wrap stimulates acupoints, relieves pain and speeds up any healing that needs to take place. The Sure Paws will quickly improve your pet’s balance and help with relaxation. I may also suggest the use of Vetkin Tape, a form of kinesiology tape that can help with rehabilitation and pain relief.

With all of these I am flexible, depending on your pet’s needs and their reaction to the therapy session. I would prefer to take the time to get to know your pet, than rush them, causing anxiety and tension.

I will finish with advice about your pet’s environment, removing or adding things can sometimes make a huge difference, especially with very young, or aging pets. We may also discuss some simple strengthening exercises.

I would be very happy to discuss your pet with your vet prior to, and after, our session.

Sporting or Show Dog Tune Up

You put a lot of effort into producing your show dog, or getting your sporting dog fit! But that can be wasted if your dog is sore, or becomes injured. Many injuries are preventable, if your dog is kept in top shape without restrictions to their muscles and joints, they are more likely to keep going after a mis-step or fall, and they are more likely to step out with confidence and flair in the show ring.

This is particularly important for young dogs, their development can be uneven as they grow and we need to ensure no extra stress is placed on their young bodies. Pups will also do what pups do, it is part of the learning process, but sometimes play and exploring leads to injuries. These injuries can go unnoticed due to the energy and excitement of the young dog, a regular check- up will help to ensure they grow to reach their full potential.

A full tune up should be done at least a week before an event, but I can also do a quick touch up the day before.

I use the same therapies and process as for the Remedial Pet Session but with an emphasis on performance and balance, and more detailed feedback to you that is pertinent to your dog’s training.

Puppy or Kitten Check

DSC_6302_pe

Puppies and kittens can be hurt during the birth process, just the same as human babies. It is important to check them early on for any joints or bones that might be a little out of alignment.

They can also get bumped about as they grow, play and develop. So another check before they leave Mum to move onto their new family is also advised. I am happy to see puppies from 7 days old and upwards and kittens from 2 weeks and upwards. Please contact me as this can be a little different for different breeds and whether they were delivered naturally, or by caesarean.

After the youngster has left Mum I suggest a check up every 8 weeks until they are fully matured, for optimum long-lasting health and vitality.
